- Identify Pain Psychology Treatments and Tools

- Distinguish the differences between acute and chronic pain

- Use the provided tools to manage pain in high-risk patients

- Explain how pain travels in the body

- Explain the consequences of unrelieved pain

-Discuss how pain resource nurses are an essential team member for pain management

- Describe why pain is a priority in nursing

- Identify the key elements of a pain assessment

- Apply the UPMC Pain Management Policy to their role

- Describe barriers to managing pain

- Understand the role of pain in patients who have addiction or SUD

-Understand the multimodal pain regimen for oncology patients
