Learning Objectives

Objectives:

· Historical background: breast cancer theories

• Review of Retrospective studies that have suggested increased survival with locoregional treatment of the primary breast tumor

• Provide Case studies for discussion

• Review prospective trials that have been resulted

• Review several ongoing prospective RCTs (that have yet to be resulted)

• Discuss how to treat these patient while awaiting definitive data
