The Annual Perianesthesia Nurses Conference is presented by the UPMC St. Margaret Perianesthesia Department.
Target Audience
This program is designed for nurses who provide care for surgical patients, including perianesthesia, surgical, and intensive care unit nurses.
Learning Objectives
As a result of participation in this conference, learners will be able to:
- Identify and describe new surgical and medical interventions for colorectal and vascular surgery
- Identify risk factors of heart disease in women and how this impacts surgical procedures
- Discuss toxicology in perianesthesia patients including the impact of psychostimulants and xylazine
