The UPMC/Pitt Psychology Consortium’s Third Annual Conference

June 5, 2026

This education addresses a critical gap between the rapidly evolving expectations placed on psychologists in healthcare systems and the practical, ethical, and leadership-informed skills needed to meet those demands. Psychologists across UPMC, the University of Pittsburgh, the UPMC Health Plan, and the Pittsburgh VA are increasingly expected to implement innovative and disruptive technologies (including AI and digital behavioral health tools), manage complex ethical challenges, contribute to high-stakes clinical decision-making such as suicide risk assessment, and clearly demonstrate their value within team-based, value-driven healthcare models—often without structured opportunities for shared learning. Aligned with the theme Psychology in Action: Driving Value and Innovation in Healthcare, this conference addresses gaps in ethical preparedness, translation of innovation into practice, and understanding how leadership values and organizational priorities influence care delivery, outcomes, and value, while fostering collaboration and knowledge exchange across academic and healthcare settings.
