By the conclusion of the training, attendees should be able to do the following:
•Describe substance use motivations.
•Describe the impact of trauma on substance misuse, including adverse childhood experiences.
•Define stigma and identify its negative effects.
•Recognize strategies for identifying and avoiding stigma.
•Challenge negative beliefs about opioid use disorder and medications for opioid use disorder (MOUD).
•Apply communication strategies for reducing stigma among colleagues.
•Define recovery and its elements.
