Learning Objectives
Following the presentation:
a. Learners will be able to identify common congenital and acquired heart disease that would require a ventricular assist device.
b. Learners will be able to identify ventricular assist devices commonly used at UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh.
c. Learners will be able to understand the functionality and purpose of ventricular assist devices commonly used at UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh.
d. Learners will be able to apply basic practices of nursing care related to ventricular assist device dressing changes.
