Waivers - UPMC Health Plan

Waivers provide funding support to help Participants live in the community rather than nursing facilities. This module describes the types of support services that allow Participants to use their insurance benefits for community-based care instead of care that would be provided in a facility.

  • List the steps on how participants become eligible for a waiver.
  • Review what waiver programs were moved under CHC
  • Differentiate between the LIFE and CHC programs
