Target Audience

Radiology attendings, fellows, residents, nurses and technologists.

Learning Objectives

 

This course aims to help attendees manage life threatening situations as well as additional complications that can arise in a radiology context.  Through hands-on scenario based simulations and interactive debriefing sessions the attendees will accomplish the following course objectives:

  • To learn different properties of IV contrast materials
  • To understand contraindications and appropriate use of IV contrast material
  • To become familiar with identification and management of patients with contrast reactions
