Wolff - Legos: Lessons From Lean 11.15.21

This course is a hands-on, highly-interactive class that teaches the principles of Lean through the use of teams working together to build specified Lego bricks. Lean is a methodology for improvement that has been used in many industries to improve flow and outcomes by reducing waste. By attending the Legos class, you will learn a lens to view your work processes in a new light and come away with tangible strategies for improving your workflow.

Target Audience

The class is applicable to all staff, clinical and non-clinical, and staff at all levels of the organization.

  • To learn the principles of lean – push vs. pull, one-by-one vs. batching, leveling workload, use of visual cues.
  • To understand how to apply the principles of lean to your real-life work.
  • To understand how to look at work as a process and to be able to break down the process to constituent parts.
