Learning Objectives

  1. Describe at least two brain changes associated with dementia.
  2. Identify two evidence-based techniques to share with colleagues on their unit.
  3. Demonstrate the Positive Physical Approach® introduction.
  4. Demonstrate the Hand-Under-Hand® technique.
  5. Apply the Hand-Under-Hand® technique in practice by assisting a peer with a functional task, such as walking or eating.
  6. Complete a post-session survey and outline a plan for sharing newly acquired knowledge with colleagues.
