Echo Across the Spectrum of Life
Echo Across the Spectrum of Life will be an in-person conference where professionals in the field of echocardiography will learn about cardiac issues that arise at all different stages of the lifespan. Content will include lectures, case presentations, and panel discussions. Topics include congenital findings, heart health in pregnancy, athlete's heart, and prosthetic valve evaluation.
Learning Objectives
-Recognize congenital abnormalities in the absence of a documented history and perform the additional measurements and views needed to properly diagnose these conditions
-Properly evaluate and diagnose pregnancy-related heart changes in patients with or without underlying congenital pathology.
-Prevent misdiagnosis in conditioned athletes by asking appropriate questions about exercise history when echo findings would otherwise appear pathological
- Utilize the appropriate echo modalities to evaluate the functioning of all types of prosthetic heart valves in accordance with the latest ASE guidelines.
