ECMO Intro Course for RNs - October 16, 2024

Extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) is a cardiac assist device for critically ill patients that requires a high level of nursing care by trained nurses. Nurses that are expected to care for a patient on ECMO need the knowledge, skills, and hands-on practice covered in this course to provide quality and safe care.

By the end of the course, learners will demonstrate:

  1. Understanding of ECMO theory 
  2. Skills acquisition by identifying critical changes in ECMO circuit during hands-on practice
