Ethics in Social Work and Counseling Practice
Ethics in social work and counseling is a requirement for the licensure renewal process. By offering this training, it will allow for peer-to-peer engagement to talk about direct practice issues and well as an opportunity share experiences about providing care in a rural area.
Ethics education/best practices for behavioral health services is a great opportunity to bring providers together both in the outpatient and inpatient setting. Current problems to be address include ethical issues that could impact practice in a rural area as well as boundary issues. Dual roles will also be included in the discussion.

In support of improving patient care, the University of Pittsburgh is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.

University of Pittsburgh maintains responsibility for this course. Social workers completing this course receive 4.0 continuing education credits.
