Frontiers in Molecular Imaging State-of-the-Art PET Imaging in Oncology, Cardiology, Neurology
Target Audience
Faculty, trainees, staff at Pitt and UPMC who are interested in learning more about PET imaging of cancer, neurological disease, and cardiac disease
Learning Objectives
- To highlight the recent advances in molecular imaging that have been developed at the University of Pittsburgh and at other institutions.
- To inform the Pitt/UPMC community on advances of how imaging is used in precision medicine, including how to specifically diagnose and monitor treatment in cardiac amyloid, cancer, and neurological diseases, including Alzheimer’s disease.
- To inform the Pitt/UPMC community on recent advances in PET/CT instrumentation that have dramatically improved resolution and sensitivity.
- In support of improving patient care, the University of Pittsburgh is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) and the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.
