Introductory Bronchoscopy for Advanced Practice Providers in Critical Care 10.17.25 1:00pm-4:00pm

Learning Objectives
The topics covered by this course will include:
a. Indications for Bronchoscopy
b. Anatomy Review of lower airway anatomy.
c. Basic bronchoscopy through established airway such as an endotracheal tube.
d. Therapeutic Aspiration and Bronchoalveolar Lavage for clearance of pulmonary secretions
e. Bronchoscopic Intubation (Nasal or Oral) for difficult airways.
f. Bronchoscopic exchange of supraglottic LMA for difficult airways Competency and verification will be assessed by a students ability to:
i. Perform complete bronchoscopic evaluation of simulated lungs
ii. Indicate understanding of proper bronchoscope handling
iii. Perform simulated wedge with BAL in lower bronchus segment
iv. Identify R vs L lung anatomy on progressive bronchoscopy correctly.
v. Identify general Upper, Middle, and Lower segments of Right lung anatomy
vi. Identify general Upper, Linular, and Lower segments of Left lung anatomy
