In the Know of Where to Go: Identifying and Evaluating Appropriate Medical Resources
This activity will help fill the gap by providing pharmacists with a presentation about appropriately identifying, utilizing, and interpreting medical information so that they may use this knowledge during their daily pharmacy activities. The activity will walk pharmacists through how to assess resources through discussion and demonstration as well as provide pharmacists with pre-vetted resources that should be used for answering different types of medical questions. After the activity the pharmacists should feel more comfortable being able to identify which resources to utilize based on the type of question being asked as well as be able to independently review new resources to determine their appropriate utility. The activity will be a presentation which will involve assessments during and after as well as an opportunity for discussion and questions.

Explain practices to evaluate the validity and relevance of medical information resources. Identify appropriate medical information resources to utilize based on the type of medical question. Recognize statistical significance and clinical relevance of medical literature utilized in clinical practice.
