The purpose of this educational activity to provide clinical staff at UPMC Health Plan evidence-based information to better coordinate care for members and their families who are involved in supporting an infant/child who is breastfeeding.

Erin has worked in some form of obstetrics for the past 23 years.  She has experience in the following areas:  Labor and delivery, postpartum, antepartum, and gyne.   She has been a Lactation Consultant for the last 8.5 years.  She has worked at Mercy, MonValley, and Magee Hospitals as well as in an Ob/Gyne office.

In support of improving patient care, the University of Pittsburgh is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.
