The MidState SATA (Society for the Advancement of Transplantation Anesthesia) Scientific Meeting - 2020 Inaugural Meeting
This SATA regional meeting is to provide the audience the updated knowledge on several critical management issues in abdominal and thoracic transplant patients.
Target Audience
Transplant anesthesiologists, intensivists, transplant surgeons, residents, and fellows
Learning Objectives
1. Update the audience on new approaches in the assessment of patients with acute liver failure and perioperative management
2. Update the audience on the impact of valvular heart disease on liver transplantation, including preoperative workup and optimization
3. Update on the use of minimally invasive ventricular assist device and impact on current practice
4. Introduce essential TEE/POCUS skills for transplantation anesthesiologists
