Dr. Gabarda is the Sr. Director of Clinical Training & Development at UPMC Health Plan where is responsible for the creation, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of training and skill development of lifestyle health coaches and care managers. She has a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Exercise Science from Slippery Rock University, a Master of Public Health from Walden University, and a Doctor of Education in Health and Physical Activity from the University of Pittsburgh.  Ms. Gabarda is a certified facilitator of the Community Action Poverty Simulation, National Board-Certified Health & Wellness Coach and a Certified Health Education Specialist, with over 10 years’ experience in health coaching.

UPMC Health Plan, Clinical Engagement Coordinator

Indira Stokes is a Clinical Engagement Coordinator at UPMC Health Plan where she is responsible for training, empowering, and the skill development of health coaches and care managers.  She has a bachelor's in Biology and Economics from the University of Pittsburgh and a master's in Public Health, specializing in behavioral and community health from the University of Pittsburgh. Indira is a Certified Health Education Specialist and a Nationally Board-Certified Health and Wellness Coach with over 5 years’ experience in health coaching.

In support of improving patient care, the University of Pittsburgh is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.

CCM CE will be provided:  2 CE  - CCM COA will be sent via email from UPMC Health Plan nurse planner

As a Jointly Accredited Organization, University of Pittsburgh is approved to offer social work continuing education by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program.
