Ambivalence is when a client feels two ways about a change; they see a reason to change and a reasons not to. This session will dive into the benefits of ambivalence and support clinicians with using effective person-centered strategies to help clients sort through their feelings around behavior change.

Renee Greenwald, MS, NBC-HWC

Renee Greenwald is the Manager of Clinical Training & Quality Assurance at UPMC Health Plan where she is responsible for supporting the Health Coach Academy team with developing the Motivational Interviewing skillset of UPMC Health Plan clinicians through various training and Quality Assurance Review. She has a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from Slippery Rock University and a Master of Science in Exercise Science and Health Promotion, specializing in wellness and fitness and wellness coaching from PennWest California.  Renee is a member of the Motivational Interviewing Network of Trainers and is a Nationally Board-Certified Health and Wellness Coach with about 5 years of experience in health coaching.

Indira Stokes, MPH, CHES, NBC-HWC

Indira Stokes is a Clinical Engagement Coordinator at UPMC Health Plan where she is responsible for training and skill development of health coaches and care managers. She has a bachelor’s degree in biology and economics and a master's in public health from the University of Pittsburgh. Indira is a Certified Health Education Specialist and a National Board-Certified Health and Wellness Coach. She has been practicing health coaching since 2016.

In support of improving patient care, the University of Pittsburgh is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.

Pharmacy (CPE)
This knowledge-based activity provides 1 contact hours of continuing pharmacy education credit(s).   Pharmacists Only: As required by the ACPE, credits will be uploaded to the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy (NABP). It is the responsibility of the pharmacist/pharmacy technician to provide the correct NABP Board ID and DOB in their UPMC continuing education account, http://cce.upmc.com   and complete the evaluation by the required due date. Credit will not be uploaded to the NABP if the process is not complete by the required due date.

This activity is eligible for endorsed credit for UPMC Health Plan EMTs and Paramedics.  Complete ETHOS course work, obtain the attendance certificate, and submit to EMS governing body for X CE credit(s).

Organizations, not individual courses, are approved under this program.
