 This MI Skills Building is designed to review the foundational communication skills of the MI approach, OARS. OARS is an acronym for Open questions, Affirmations, Reflections, and Summaries. This course will provide learners with an opportunity to be introduced to the different types of OARS that can be used, and how to use them at their highest level of intention and strategy for effective sessions.  Throughout the training, time will be devoted to participant questions, discussion, and skill practice, in addition to brief lectures and video content.
