Pediatricians, Family Medicine Physicians, Residents, Nurse Practitioners, Nurses, Practice Staff

Learning Objectives

As a result of participation in this activity, participants will be able to:
1.    Understand the benefit of exclusive breastfeeding for the first 6 months of life.
2.    Recognize the importance of maintaining milk production while starting solid foods. 
3.    Understand the difference between the Baby Led Weaning Approach and using pureed foods when starting solids.
4.    Address concerns regarding choking. 
5.    Differentiate between weaning in the first year of life vs. after the first year. 
6.    Understand the difference between Child-Led and Mother-Led weaning.
7.    Learn tips to avoid premature weaning.
