  • Discuss key considerations for airway management and respiratory support in children with congenital or acquired heart disease, including strategies to maintain hemodynamic stability during intubation, extubation readiness assessment, and prevention of postoperative pulmonary complications.
  • Identify one evidence-based consideration for the initiation, titration, or weaning of respiratory therapies (such as oxygen supplementation, noninvasive ventilation, or mechanical ventilation) that takes into account the patient’s specific cardiac diagnosis, shunt physiology, and oxygenation goals.
