ForwardPulse: Grapes of Wrath: Combating Multidrug-Resistant Pseudomonas aeruginosa
Increasing rates of antimicrobial resistance have rendered many traditional mainstays for treatment of Pseudomonas aeruginosa ineffective. To counter these emerging resistance mechanisms, many new antipseudomonal beta-lactams and combination agents have been developed. This presentation aims to discuss these newer agents, the existing literature supporting their utility in multidrug-resistant Pseudomonas aeruginosa infections, and outcomes associated with their use.
