Learning Objectives
- Describe at least two brain changes associated with dementia.
- Identify two evidence-based techniques to share with colleagues on their unit.
- Demonstrate the Positive Physical Approach® introduction.
- Demonstrate the Hand-Under-Hand® technique.
- Apply the Hand-Under-Hand® technique in practice by assisting a peer with a functional task, such as walking or eating.
- Complete a post-session survey and outline a plan for sharing newly acquired knowledge with colleagues.
