The 10th Annual Pittsburgh Hand Therapy and Surgery Conference: From Incision to Independence The interdisciplinary conference will bring together hand surgeons, therapist and upper extremity specialists to explore the continuum of care from surgical intervention through functional recovery. Designed to enhance collaboration between surgical and rehabilitation professions, the program will address current concepts, challenging cases, evidenced based treatment strategies and practical solutions for complex upper extremity conditions.

Learning Objectives

At the conclusion of the course participants should be able to:
1. Apply current evidence-based principles of surgical and rehabilitation management to optimize outcomes for patients with upper extremity injuries and conditions
2. Identify early signs of postoperative complications and implement appropriate intervention strategies
3. Evaluate challenging or non-progressing patient presentations and develop interdisciplinary treatment plans to address barriers to recovery
4. Improve communication and collaboration among surgeons, therapists, and other healthcare professions to enhance continuity of care across the recovery continuum
