Prevalence of ICU Delirium in Postoperative Pediatric Cardiac Surgery Patients Journal Club

This article identified that delirium in pediatric post cardiac surgery patients were not routinely assessed for delirium risk using a screening tool. This article identified a reliable screening tool that could be completed in less than two minutes. This article also identifies modifiable risk factors that increased risk of delirium. By increasing providers knowledge of the risk factors, better care can be utilized when caring for these patients.
