The Effect of Three Different Methods on Venipuncture Pain and Anxiety in Children: Distraction Cards, Virtual Reality, and Buzzy® (Randomized Controlled Trial) September Journal Club
Over 50% of children verbalized being afraid of shots which leads to venipuncture pain and anxiety. Acknowledging different interventions to decrease pain and anxiety will benefit patient outcomes and decrease patient/family fear levels in regards to required venipunctures.
