OAPP Grand Rounds - ADVANCED PRACTICE PROVIDER BILLING UPDATE
Those who provide services and submit claims are responsible for following rules, however, billing and reimbursement rules can change and are subject to interpretation, therefore, payer policies may be unclear. Just because a payer has been reimbursing for a service, does not mean billing was done appropriately. Most payers conduct pre- and post- payment audits, so it's important to get the facts and ask for policies and regulations in writing. This training will explore the billing and reimbursement rules.
