OTC Hearing Aids: An Opportunity for Collaboration between Audiologists and Pharmacists

OTC hearing aids present a new opportunity for pharmacists to participate in hearing care. Pharmacists lack training in hearing care and audiologists may be threatened by pharmacists choosing to sell OTC hearing aids at pharmacies. Audiologists and pharmacists need examples of collaborative working relationships between the two professions.

This activity will encourage interprofessional, collaborative relationships between pharmacists and audiologists in the context of hearing care.
