Pulse: Out of Breath, Out of Options? Managing Steroid-Refractory Immune Checkpoint Inhibitor- induced Pneumonitis

November 20, 2025

While rare, steroid-refractory immune checkpoint inhibitor-induced pneumonitis carries a high mortality risk. A few second-line treatment options are available, but data regarding choice of therapy and efficacy is lacking. This presentation aims to highlight current literature surrounding second-line treatment options for steroid-refractory pneumonitis, focusing on comparing efficacy of IVIG and infliximab.

Target Audience

Pharmacist
