Pain Management in the NICU

November 19, 2024 to December 19, 2024

This activity will help provide all pharmacists at UPMC in Central PA hospitals with a baseline knowledge of the management of post-op pain in the NICU. This activity will highlight available analgesic therapies as well as their mechanism of action, relevant pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic properties, and adverse effects. Overall, this will allow pharmacists to become comfortable with pain management in neonates and help provide recommendations to optimize drug therapy.
