The webinar will assist the PCMHs to better understand the changes that occurred April 1st to limit Medicaid coverage now that the COVID extension has expired. It will allow them to learn how to help their patients to obtain coverage, the workflow involved, the staff that may need to be involved and the resources available to them.

  1. 1:15 p.m. to 1:35 p.m. – PCMH and MCO Tactics to Keep Patients Insured – Tia Whitaker, Statewide Director, Outreach and Enrollment, Pennsylvania Association of Community Health Centers
  1. 1:35 p.m. to 1:55 p.m. – Peer-to-Peer Discussion: Successes and Challenges to Incorporate Tactics into Team Roles and Workflows – Facilitated by Pauline Taylor, CQIA, Program Specialist, PRHI
    1. Summarize the tactics (e.g., becoming a COMPASS Partner or connecting patients to COMPASS Partners, scripting and handouts for front desk staff, and receiving renewal date lists from MCOs to target outreach)
    1. PCMHs and MCOs with experience on these tactics (e.g., sharing and following-up on the renewal date lists) say a few words about what has worked well
      1. Valerie McEvoy (HPP) and Peter Jackson (DVCH) are prepared to say a few words about how HPP shares these lists with DVCH and how DVCH works with HPP on outreach
    1. Facilitated peer-to-peer discussion:
      1. What messages or communication tools have you incorporated into your team roles and workflows?
      2. What has worked well? What challenges or questions have you encountered?
      3. What would be helpful to your PCMH?
