Pelvic pain symposium

The pelvis is a complex region with multiple potential sources of pain. This conference is a collaborative effort presenting leading experts in their respective fields including OB/Gyn, Urogynecology, Anesthesiology pain management, GI, Behavioral health, Vascular, Orthopedics and Physical Therapy to educate on the multidiscipline approach required to offer patients superior care for a challenging array of etiologies. There will be 20-minute presentations followed by panel discussions for an interactive learning experience.

Learning Objectives

1) Improve recognition of broad etiologies (gyn and nongyn) of pelvic pain
2) Increase communication among providers across disciplines that commonly care for chronic pelvic pain patients
3) Improve patient care via: -Greater focus on multidisciplinary care -More efficient referrals -Decreased lag time to diagnosis of common pelvic pain etiologies (ie endometriosis)
