Pittsburgh Cornea Symposium

March 8, 2025

The Cornea surgeons and the Eye Bank (CORE) in Pittsburgh have worked together tirelessly over the past decade to ensure that our patients have access to the best cornea care. This symposium has been planned to educate the ophthalmic community about the latest advancements in the cornea world. We have experts from other reputable universities who will spare their valuable time to discuss and teach our attendees. This one-day program will feature didactic talks on topics encompassing cornea, eye banking and ocular surface. We are honored to have Dr Massimo Busin from the University of Ferrara, Italy to deliver the first Robert Arffa lecture during this symposium

Learning Objectives

The participants are expected to engage in the discussions and ask meaningful questions to enhance their understanding of common as well as complex corneal diseases. The featured talks on corneal transplantation and corneal imaging will stimulate collaboration and further the research endeavors in the field. The participants will be able to adapt some of the newer techniques and technologies presented in the symposium, in their clinical practice.
