Uncomplicated cystitis is a common infectious process that requires antimicrobial therapy. Two potential treatment options are nitrofurantoin and fosfomycin. The goal of this education is to discuss guideline recommendations and literature surrounding appropriate use of these two commonly prescribed agents.
