Pulse: The Polypharmacy Puzzle: Piecing Together Effective Antipsychotic Treatments

The use of two or more antipsychotic medications occurs in 4% to 35% of outpatients and 30% to 50% of inpatients; despite limited evidence to the efficacy and safety of antipsychotic polypharmacy and increasing potential for drug interactions, medication errors, and noncompliance. This presentation will increase pharmacist competency in identifying and optimizing medication therapy for these patients.
