New medications and new guidelines are constantly being released. Pharmacists need a mechanism to keep up with these new medications and guidelines.

Pharmacogenomics (Pgx) is the study of how a person’s genes impact their response to medications. The utility of Pgx in the selection of psychiatric medications remains unclear. This presentation will review existing literature regarding the impact of pharmacogenomic-guided treatment on multiple psychiatric disease states including depression, ADHD, and schizophrenia.
