This presentation will focus on the unique needs of children with autism spectrum disorder and developmental disabilities when coming to UPMC Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh for care. A parent will review her family's positive experience in same-day surgery, members of Same Day Surgery and Child Life will review both departmental and hospital-wide initiatives to improve care, and an expert panel will discuss current and future options.
