15th Annual Update in Allergy and Sinonasal Disorders

May 4, 2022

Designed primarily for the primary care physician, internist, pulmonologist, allergist, otolaryngologist, and rhinologist, this course provides novel insights into advances in the modern care of patients with asthma, allergic rhinitis, chronic rhinosinusitis, immunodeficiency, cough, and urticaria. Internationally recognized faculty and staff will present new information on recently approved biologic therapies, thoughtful care of the allergic patient, as well as provide an interactive case-based panel to integrate concepts in the management of complex patients.

Target Audience

This course is designed primarily for the primary care physician, internist, pulmonologist, allergist, otolaryngologist, and rhinologist as an introduction or update in the practical clinical care of patients with allergic rhinitis, asthma, urticaria, and chronic rhinosinusitis with and without polyposis.

Learning Objectives

1. Determine how to manage patients with complex upper and lower airway inflammation (allergic rhinitis, asthma, chronic rhinosinusitis) and devise treatment strategies including biologic therapies and/or functional endoscopic sinus surgery to appropriately selected patients.

2. To be able to effectively utilize different methods of immunotherapy to treat allergic diseases including sublingual immunotherapy and subcutaneous immunotherapy strategies.

3. Incorporate new algorithms to manage chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps, asthma, urticaria, and immunodeficiency.

4. Implement strategies to accurately diagnosis and manage patients with difficult-to-treat cough, vocal cord dysfunction, and modifiers of inflammation.
