Preceptors are often busy clinicians without formal precepting training. This course aims to address the gaps that exist in preparing for the student that will be precepted especially in the area of time management. This course provides the information need to successfully prepare for your new clinical student using. best practices in time management techniques.

Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:
- Explain how to meet the student where they are with progressive increases in their responsibilities based on their competence in order to optimize efficiency
- Describe wave scheduling and how to implement it in clinical practice
- Identify various ways to troubleshoot on an extra busy day or with a slower moving student
- List ways to multitask to optimize efficiency in clinic
- Discuss general tips that contribute to overall efficiency
