Target Audience

Pharmacists from the University of Pittsburgh School of Pharmacy and/or employed by UPMC and deployed throughout the hospital campus in unit-based roles and centrally in the department of pharmacy's main pharmacy.

  • Describe the epidemiology and risk factors of C. difficile infection
  • Define the current standard of treatment and prevention for initial and reoccurring C. difficile infections
  • Identify and compare recent advancements in the pharmacologic management of C. difficile infections
