Transplant Education Days - 10/30/2024

Transplant patients are complex and require care unique to their needs.  Providing the best, safest and most up-to-date care for this population presents a challenge to nurses, both novice and expert. 

Forms survey and verbal survey from target audience, direct observation of target audience as well as input from physicians have led to realization that there are variations in nursing practice and knowledge related to the transplant population.

Identification of information required to report to transplant team.

Improved knowledge of equipment utilized in caring for transplant patients.

Improved knowledge of complications related to a kidney transplant.
