Learning Objectives

1. Realize the widespread impact of trauma in our society.
2. Recognize signs and symptoms of unresolved psychological trauma in patients.
3. Understand the consequences of a traumatic birth on the trauma survivor and her child.
4. Understand the importance of collaborative care and shared decision making to improve outcomes in this patient population.
