Celebrate National APP Week with Us at Two Exciting Events!
Thursday, September 19,: Advanced Practice Providers Appreciation Evening Join us for an evening of celebration as we honor you! The Advanced Practice Providers Appreciation Event will feature beverages and heavy hors d'oeuvres for you and a guest to enjoy while we recognize your hard work and dedication. This event will begin at 6 p.m.
Friday, September 20: APPalooza Conference The next day, join your colleagues for a comprehensive conference covering the latest updates in various fields impacting your patients. The conference includes workshops designed to help you build essential skills for success. Each presentation includes ample time for audience questions, ensuring a thorough learning experience.
Both events will take place at the Sheraton Bayfront Hotel.

Target Audience
This program is designed specifically for advanced practice providers interested in updating their practice and refreshing their knowledge related to common disease states, comorbidities and complications.
Learning Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, the participant should be able to:
- Describe thyroid function tests (TFT’s) and antibody testing
- Discuss management and treatment options of Hypo/Hyperthyroidism
- Apply evidence - based guidelines to care for patients with obesity which includes pharmacologic management.
- Identify available FDA approved anti-obesity medications.
- Describe patient eligibility criteria for FDA approved anti-obesity medications.
- Review current trends in Sexually Transmitted Infections
- Discuss testing and treatment options for various STIs in adults
- Discuss testing and treatment options for various STIs in children
- Recognize the common signs, symptoms, and examination findings of gallbladder disease in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
- Develop skills to conduct a diagnostic workup, including lab and radiographic evaluation, for gallbladder disease.
- Formulate appropriate treatment plans based on diagnostic results and patient presentation.
- Recognize and provide appropriate direction to the ED
- Enhance communication before arriving to and after receiving care in the ED
- Describe strategies for effective suicide inquiry.
- Identify at least 5 risk factors related to suicide.
- Define at least 4 actions to take in suicide prevention.
- Recognize and evaluate risk factors for PAD and PVD for early detection and prevention.
- Apply evidence-based treatments and strategies for effective PAD and PVD management.
- Discuss symptom management at the end of life, including medication use.
- Differentiate between comfort measures and hospice care in end-of-life management.
- Describe appropriate indications for direct oral anticoagulants (DOACs)
- Recognize clinically significant drug-drug interactions that involve DOACs

Attire for both is business casual.
