UPMC Hamot 8th Annual Nursing Symposium - Empowering Nurses: Inspire, Innovate, and Rally Together

The 2025 edition of the UPMC Hamot Nursing Symposium will empower nurses to inspire, innovate, and rally together in their practice. Faculty for the program will include nationally recognized leaders in nursing as well as knowledgeable experts from UPMC Hamot — a two-time Magnet®-designated hospital.
Featured Speaker:
Richard Bluni, RN

Rich Bluni, RN, brings more than 31 years of direct care nursing experience to his role as an author, speaker, and nationally recognized nursing advocate. His clinical background spans Pediatric ICU, Trauma, Flight and Transport Nursing, and leadership roles such as Emergency Room Clinical Manager and Director of Risk Management and Patient Safety.
Currently with Huron since 2007, Rich has coached, consulted, and spoken for healthcare organizations across the United States, Canada, and Europe. He is the author of four books, including Inspired Nurse and Inspired Nurse Too, which offer meaningful insights into sustaining passion and purpose in nursing. Rich is also a Licensed Health Care Risk Manager and a Registered Nurse, with ongoing graduate studies in nursing at Florida Atlantic University.
In his engaging and inspirational presentation, Rich reminds nurses of the power and purpose behind their work, encouraging them to reconnect with the “why” that brought them to the profession in the first place.
