Wendell Lehman Cardiovascular Seminar
Target Audience
This conference is designed for the continuing education of cardiologists, family practice physicians, advanced practice providers, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals.
Learning Objectives
• The learner will be able to implement the use of PYP scans in the treatment of Cardiac Amyloidosis, effectively use calcium scoring, and Cardiac CTA in risk stratifying their patient, and know when to apply echo strain imaging in the treatment of specific cardiac patients.
• The learner will be able to define the practice guidelines for arrhythmia management, discuss the use of implantable and wearable device technology, and discuss indications and reasons for left atrial appendage occlusion.
• The learner will be able to define and outline the different types of Heart Failure (HF), discuss device therapy and higher-level monitoring devices for HF, implement the newest heart failure guidelines, and understand the resources that UPMC provides to assist their patients in heart failure management.
