Expert knowledge in wound, ostomy, and continence (WOC) care is not easily attained through general courses. New Wound, Ostomy, Continence nurses need continued education to grow towards being an expert in their specialty. These sessions provide WOC Nurses with the opportunity to learn from experts in their specialty.

In support of improving patient care, the University of Pittsburgh is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.
