This activity will enable the professional healthcare team to provide quality support to grieving persons. The information provided will increase the knowledge level and skill set necessary to confidently assist grieving persons.

Learning Objectives

Presentation will do the following:

Dispel misconceptions of grief.

Explore the feelings associated with loss.

Define the six needs of mourning and 10 touchstones of the grief journey.

Help participants to support grieving persons by understanding the difference between reconciliation of grief and resolution of grief.
