Cardiac Education Series: Hematologic considerations in the pediatric cardiac population
This activity was designed as a self-learning worksheet to provide practice with hematologic considerations in the pediatric cardiac population. Learners will complete a series of multi-step questions related to the pediatric cardiac population and submit answers in a test format to receive credit for participation. Upon completion of the 4-5 page worksheet, staff will have to look up policy/Lippincott guidance and use resources on the unit for completion of activity. Staff have the ability to work with the educator to have the opportunity to ask questions and develop skills related to blood product administration. Nurses will submit answers via Microsoft Forms. Need to achieve 100% to be eligible for CEU.

After completing this activity, the learner will be able to:
- identify signs/symptoms of vessel thrombosis and consideration for anticoagulation.
- identify one consideration for blood product administration.
